About Cafe Gannet Restaurant

Hotelier JJ Moorcroft opened Café Gannet in spring 1988 as a 40-seat restaurant. It has since grown into a Garden Route landmark beside the Dias Museum complex in central Mossel Bay, with north-facing views over the ocean and a sunny courtyard.

Seafood is the core of the menu, alongside salads, light meals, meat dishes, signature sushi and homemade gelato. A full English breakfast buffet is served, there is a kids' menu with healthier choices, and the wine list runs to more than 50 South African labels.
