Chef Guy Clark built Cafe Civara on Plettenberg Bay's Main Street and still owns and runs it. The kitchen is open-plan, so diners can watch the cooking from their tables.
During the day the menu sticks to sandwiches, fresh bowls and salads. In the evening the room changes into a darker, more romantic bistro with a bohemian edge. Bookings are taken by phone.
